How to measure
Measuring the Circumference (Size)
1. Place the measuring tape around the widest part of the area where the garment will be worn or where support is needed. This is typically over the hernia or stoma pouch (if relevant), or around the hips.
2. Keep the tape measure relatively tight.
3. Use the size/code chart to determine the required size.
Measuring the Height/Depth
1. Measure in a straight line from the center of the crotch up to where the top of the garment should reach.
2. This point must be at least 3cm above the top of the pouch or the hernia, whichever is highest.
3. Use this measurement with the fitting guide (size/code chart) to determine if a low or high-waist garment is needed.
Please note
Men’s are +12cm at the front and +8cm at the back.
Ladies with legs shape
Please note that these run approximately one size bigger than standard briefs and also sit higher. Therefore it is essential this garment is tried on if the patient requires this style.
